About Me

PartyCrasher
I am a fan of Shag living in Southern California, dedicated to bringing you the latest on original paintings created by this Orange County artist. I’ve been a collector and admirer of Josh Agle’s work for more than twelve years, and have been actively tracking resell activity consistently for the last nine. I am fortunate enough to have acquired a handful of originals over the years, with my first purchase being Five Planets. When my name finally came up on a waiting list to purchase a new original, I parted with my first painting, which allowed me to grow my collection. Since then I have become impressed by the increased demand and appreciation of Shag’s work, especially over the past decade. Agle’s work has generally doubled in value over a period of just 3 to 4 years, proving Shag paintings to be a worthy investment. In some cases paintings have more than quadrupled in value. In 1997, an average-sized painting (18x24”) sold for under $1000. Today, a similar sized work generally sells for more than $10,000.
